As the powders react very sensitively to different ironing temperatures, only high-quality waxing irons should be used for this. Here, too, the heat provides the appropriate durability, whereas cold finish waxes are usually faster.
The times when Racing Finish was only used in damp and wet conditions are long gone. I know of no conditions where the right finish would not be better than a paraffin ski.
In principle, however, skis treated with Racing Finish should either be treated again with base wax (without fluorine) or slightly fluorinated after skiing.
